Gout is a painful disease that often occurs when uric acid, a wastes product, build up in the blood and then forms crystals in the joints and kidneys. Uric acid crystals accumulated in the body can become large stones. These stones are very painful and can cause permanent damage to your body. Normally, the kidney can do many important jobs such as producing urine, regulate blood pressure and excrete wastes products. When there is something wrong with your kidney function, many wastes products and much fluid will build up in the body, of which, uric acid also accumulate in the body. And then, uric acid will build up in the joint area. As time goes by, more and more uric acid will build up in the joint area. On this case, patients will experience gout. Gout is a very painful disease, especially for patients in elderly.
